Archive photographs, some of them taken in Canton (Guangzhou), show these trays in use during the first stages of tea preparation, the leaves being spread out so that they lose part of their moisture before processing.\u003cbr\u003eEntirely handmade, this tray has a fine, tight weave, offering a stable surface while allowing good air circulation. Its reinforced rim gives it rigidity and makes it easy to handle during the different stages of tea work.\u003cbr\u003eThis type of tray was widespread in the farming and trading regions linked to tea production.
