This console was made from a heavy ancient Indian door. The facade is a part of the leaf, while the frame was reused to make its feet.
The bleeding wood color of the console contrasts with the rusty iron details, and highlights the star motif of the original door. The small metal plate that is seen to the right of the console has been preserved; It is typical of Indian doors and includes the owner's address or name, when the door still ensured its front door function. The door frame was nicely embellished with deep checkered sculptures; The latter now decorate the feet of this console.
The reasonable size of this console will allow it to slip into the majority of interiors.
His signs of wear testify to his experience as the door of a real house somewhere in India. They make this console a unique piece!
This piece of furniture was made from ancient, or even very ancient elements of wooden architecture. It therefore includes irregularities.
