These candlesticks were made from old charpai legs, this popular ultra-simple Indian bed made of four legs, a frame and a woven rope seat.
These beds, ripped apart by hours of siesta, were dismantled in order to to be repurposed into decorative objects. Each foot is topped with a metal cup to hold your candle (not supplied). Each piece is made by hand, and is therefore imperfect and unique. Slight variations in shape and size from one piece to another are inevitable and are part of the charm of handmade.
