Old Chinese terracotta apothecary jar. Each piece is one of a kind, with tones ranging from black to beige by way of grey.
While ornamental Chinese ceramics are widely celebrated, it was the humble utilitarian clay vessels that lay at the heart of daily life. These lidded village jars were once used to store a multitude of household essentials: cooking ingredients, dried leaves, bark, minerals and everyday provisions.
Each piece is one of a kind. Variations in texture, signs of wear and differences in tone bear witness to its age and past use. Today, this jar naturally finds its place as a decorative object, on its own or as part of a composition, bringing a sober, raw and timeless presence to the space. This jar is not watertight.

More about how your order is prepared
Careful, reused packaging
Your parcel is prepared in our warehouse in France. As most of our pieces are one of a kind, the packaging has to be made to measure, which takes a little longer than for standard products. The item is protected and packed in a cardboard box for the safest possible shipping.
The little extra? We reuse packaging as much as possible to reduce our impact on the planet.

Once your order has been prepared, the carrier chosen at checkout is notified and your parcel is collected the next working day.
The carriers we use most often are Chronopost, Colissimo or UPS for home deliveries. For pickup point deliveries, we offer the Mondial Relay and Chrono Shop2Shop networks.
