One-of-a-kind piece
Description

This old glazed terracotta jar from China stands out for its hand-incised relief decoration, forming repeating patterns that bring the whole surface to life. The glaze, in shades of brown, ochre and beige, shows natural variations, drips and in places a light crackle, reflecting traditional craft techniques.

Made for everyday use, it was most likely used to store liquids or foodstuffs. Its proportions, side handles and open neck bear witness to its practical role in daily life.

This piece shows signs of wear, irregularities in the glaze and unique variations in tone, testament to its age and its handmade production. Today it lends itself perfectly to decorative use, on a shelf, a console or within an arrangement of objects.

  • Dimensions: H 23cm x W 18cm x D 18cm
  • Material(s): Terracotta
  • Origin: China
  • Period: mid 20th century

Careful, reused packaging

Your parcel is prepared in our warehouse in France. As most of our pieces are one of a kind, the packaging has to be made to measure, which takes a little longer than for standard products. The item is protected and packed in a cardboard box for the safest possible shipping.

The little extra? We reuse packaging as much as possible to reduce our impact on the planet.

step 01

collection by the carrier

Once your order has been prepared, the carrier chosen at checkout is notified and your parcel is collected the next working day.

The carriers we use most often are Chronopost, Colissimo or UPS for home deliveries. For pickup point deliveries, we offer the Mondial Relay and Chrono Shop2Shop networks.

step 02

notification from the carrier

You will then receive an e-mail from us with delivery tracking, in the form of a link to the carrier's tracking page.
