The "Pidha" chairs are low wooden chairs. Traditionally, these chairs were offered to the brides for their trousseau, a forgotten practice today. The seat could be braided with cotton or rope strips like here. The chairs were then used daily in the house. This is decorated with Latus (Hindi toupies) these small wooden pendants.
